Social Coordinator Parents in Partnership Stockport (PIPS)
I am mum to two wonderful boys aged 21 and 15, my youngest son has autism and special educational needs and my eldest son has Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. I also have two stepdaughters and 2 grandchildren.
Family is very important to me and having children with special needs I understand something of the problems parents face. Within my role with PIPS I hope to support and help families navigate the SEND pathway.
I have been heavily involved with PIPS for the last 5 years, I took a break from the Steering Group due to caring commitments but more recently have been co-opted back on as I now feel ready to take on the role of Social Co-ordinator. Looking forward to meeting many of you during future social events, coffee mornings and meetings PIPS will be holding.
On the 28th -30th March, Europe’s biggest event dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and lifestyle of people with a disability or impairment returns to the Birmingham NEC for three days of innovation, exploration and motivation. Visitors can expect a strong educational focus and a dedicated children and young people zone including a sensory demo area. To register for your free ticket, go to http://www.naidex.co.uk
